Alesen Corella - Founder
An avid yard-saler and thrifter all her life and after finish raising three children she asked herself, "what would be a fun thing to do the rest of my life?"
Her grandmother was the first original "hippie" and created a magical garden from dumpster diving her local alleyways. She passed on her love of no waste and re-purposing to all 13 of her grandchildren.
Alesen is also passionate about working with people in helping them find their passions, gifts and abilities and putting them to work in those strengths so that they can find meaningful, purposeful fulfilling work.
She is excited to be able to partner with great people doing great work for others in our community to help them do even more great work! A Thrift store seemed a natural platform in which to do all these things. Thus the vision of Gatherings Thrift was born.

Karey is the keeper of our craft room among other things but she makes it sparkle and a place of inspiration for creation. She is a mother and Grandmother who loves gardening, crafting, long walks and interacting with people which makes her a perfect fit for Gatherings.

She was a holistic healer with her own business for 23 years until covid hit. She has a great love for animals, known as the cat-lady, she has been a volunteer for 30 plus years helping local organizations with T&R and has several special needs cats. She also loves being outside, hiking , gardening and doing home improvements. She wanted to work for a business that gives back to the community and found her love of sorting and organizing at Gatherings Thrift.

In her free time, she enjoys going to the beach, spending time with friends and attending or selling at the swap meet. We partner with different local organizations to give job training skills to different folks as well as offer volunteer opportunities to the community to be involved with meaningful and purposeful work. Our partners are Department of Rehab, Eckard Workforce Program, THMA Transitions Mental Health, SELPA (highschool student training), Reemployability, and Options.
